Tuticorin Ship Agents’ Association was established in the year 1952 by many stalwarts who works for the betterment of trade in the pearl city. The shipping trade has reached a high momentum with the emergence of association for steamers, customs agents, stevedores, etc. Our association was formed with the motive of fighting for the cause of the shipping agents united and work for the enhancement of shipping trade in the city.
We maintain a cordial relationship with all members concerned in the shipping trade. All grievances of members are redressed by our association by means of constitutional methods. We work in collaboration with V.O.C Port Trust and Customs Department for promoting the shipping trade practices in the city.
Vision
Our perception is to be the solution provider for stevedores and all shipping related activities in addressing their grievances and working for their welfare in the industry.

Our mission is to represent the shipping and customs agents in the city and work for their welfare in enhancing the shipping trade practices and promote trade in the city.

The association addresses all grievances of members by maintaining cordial communication with officers and by approaching issues through constitutional methods.
